It has taken me nearly a year to post these lovely nudes... oops!

Hello and Happy Monday!

I can't believe I never actually came back and posted these images that were taken nearly a year ago now. I did a post more recently about unexpectedly hiking to a location on a shoot with Scott (or MCCCXIV for those of us on Instagram or PurplePort). Anyway despite being bonkers and willing to work with me on a regular basis, Scott is a talented photographer with wonderful ideas and we always capture something fantastic on our shoots together. He's popped up in a few blog posts I've written this year, as well as a couple of posts exclusively using his images, like the post I wrote after the first time we shot together and the one about our use of the big stretchy sock thing in the third installment of the cocoon images.

Anyway, when we shot together last November, I meant to do a blog post showing some of these images, but I never got around to it and it's silly that it has taken me this long. I shot with Scott again over the weekend and the images from that so far have been absolutely lovely and there will no doubt be another Scott focussed blog at some point to show you those...

But anyway for now we are going back in time to last November to a chilly few hours early one morning on location...

Black Hat

I've just said it was cold that day and I know it doesn't look it from these images. The sun was quite warm but as soon as that went behind a cloud or the wind picked up, it was freezing. I had a fleecy blanket with me to warm up between sets though. Also, considering I'm not a hat person for the most part, I really love how these images turned out.

Violin

Random items of clothing and props are something that Scott is really good with in his photography. Obviously I can't play the violin at all but I do look good posing nude with one. I also love the tone of these images too, they have a nice warmth to them (colour temperature, not actual temperature... obviously).

And these wider shots work really well too as the location was beautiful as shown off in these wider shots.

Portraits

The thing that makes these topless portraits work so well for me is the angle that Scott was shooting them from. It offers an interesting perspective for a portrait, and works nicely with the pillars.

Door

The wooden door on this location was absolutely wonderful and lent itself well to some art nude shots. As the sun was moving across the sky, more light was falling on the door and it made these images quite interesting when only part of the door was brightly lit by the Autumn sun. I also love that these images look as stunning in colour as they do in monochrome.

Close ups at the door

Here are a few close up shots in front of the door too... the last one is my favourite as you can see the sun had moved far enough around to light my face quite brightly. I think it works really well and gives the image some nice contrast.

Colour Nudes

We shot quite a few art nudes here and they all turned out amazing.

It was fun coming up with shapes and poses to fit the space: going between trying to take up as much of the space as possible, then using just one side or the other.

Mono Nudes

I also love that these images worked well as wider shots or close in, as well as monochrome or colour. The black and white versions do seem to have a more timeless quality to them though which I adore.

Grave

And to finish, an image at a grave as we are entering that time of year where everything has to be a bit spoooooooooky!

That's all from me for today! I hope you had an amazing weekend, and have a wonderful week. I look forward to sharing more with you next Monday!

I think we hit the sweet spot with the light for this shoot, it really could not have gone any better!
