WORKSHOPS WITH MISUZU AND DAVE

Misuzu and Dave Edkins are co-running a two part workshop specifically designed for beginners to the world of model photography. The first one covers the basics including booking a model, getting through that first shoot, and how to follow up afterwards. The second one covers the nuances of shooting art nude, specifically.

While we recommend attending both workshops as they are both informative, useful, and fun, it is not required to complete both and they function as stand alone workshops.

There are also further lighting workshops and group shoots available for those who have attended the beginner workshops, and for those already comfortable working with models. Most workshops will take place around Stoke-on-Trent but you can request a workshop in your area by contacting us using the contact form on this page.

CONFIDENCE

You will gain the confidence to book and work with a model one to one across a variety of styles and levels.

KNOWLEDGE

You will gain a basic knowledge base about how the process of model photography works from start to finish.

You will gain the ability to think creatively and use what's around you to make a difference to your images.

WORKSHOP 1

Workshop 1 is an introduction to working with models. This workshop will cover the basic skills needed for your first shoot, and advice on how to start a conversation with a model and how to follow up after a shoot.

WORKSHOP 2

Workshop 2 focusses on the nuances of shooting art nude photography. This workshop will cover ettiquette specific to shooting nude models and how to make sure it's a safe experience for everyone involved.

LIGHTING WORKSHOPS

The lighting workshops will range from a beginner workshop on how to use studio lighting with basic lighting set ups, to more complicated lighting techniques. The lighting workshops will be in smaller groups (maximum of four photographers) to give you more time to experiment.

GROUP SHOOTS

Throughout the year, there will be various themed group shoots. These will not be workshops, however Misuzu and Dave will be available to assist you with anything on the day to help you get the shots you want.
