Hi, Misuzu here. Back at it again. Welcome to my new blog!

I've been modelling for over a decade now and it's been an amazing journey. I had a website from early on in my career: it was a wordpress site that featured collections of images to display my work and a blog. I wrote about shoots I did, showcased my modelling and photography work, discussed the industry, and added the odd post about unrelated things. It all fell by the way side when I ended up travelling with a band from London (I was the merch girl) and then I moved away from Stoke.

While I was away Covid happened, and I'm sure you remember how bizarre that time was. I moved back home and spent the lockdown completely revamping my website and started to blog again. It could have been amazing...

But that too fell by the way side. Partly due to the state of the world and partly due to the fact that my world was about to change forever. I got pregnant, and becoming a parent changed everything. My daughter, Pixie is completely amazing. She's now three and a half, and the cutest, funniest, sassiest little creature. I'll forever be grateful that I get to be her Mama, because she's honestly the best.

Those first few years of being Mama instead of Misuzu were busy, but any parent could have told you that. Especially a parent like myself, flying solo. It's a wild, messy, beautiful ride. In those first few years, I still shot occasionally, but it was no longer my 'job'. It was more like I was occasionally dabbling in something I was passionate about, between the days when I didn't have time to sleep, eat or shower; the days when my main concern was teaching colours, counting and words; the days when I was busy reading stories, nursery rhymes and poems.

But the more independent this tiny creature became, the more I realised it was time to find out if Misuzu was still there. And... she was. I'm back, baby. With more tattoos and more life experience. The only logical thing to do was start a new website (third time lucky?)

I hope you're ready to join me as I get back to talking about the thing I know the most about (except for the names of all the characters from my daughter's favourite books and cartoons, obviously) and that's model photography. You can expect to see more of my work, my travels and whatever the hell else I decide to ramble on about. I hope you have time in your day to join me <3
