Hoodie in a heatwave: It's getting HOT in here

Hello and Happy Monday.

I'm so bored of this heatwave. Like, seriously. I'm just not built for it, and also I essentially live in a greenhouse (big windows that catch the sun all afternoon) so it's not been a comfortable time for me. I'm taking recommendations on places to move to that are cooler year round, so if you know anywhere then let me know!

Anyway, it seems appropriate to do a post about how bloody hot it is since it's far too hot to think of something more creative. I'm pleased to let you know that you can get 50% off a hoodie at Nobody Apparel with the discount code: VeryHOT50. We all know how quickly the weather can turn in this country, so you wanna get a nice new Nobody hoodie to snuggle up in when the inevitable happens. And maybe grab a couple of the shirts while you're placing your order too...

Before I show you some photos you may want to give these Instagram accounts a follow: if you're not following me by now then I'm offended. Check out Dave's Instagram. And there are a couple of accounts to follow to see the latest in Nobody Apparel: first the main account and then the second account with all of the people wearing his stuff.

The Hoodie in Question

So before I start talking about the heat again, here are some shots of the hoodie you can get for half price... worn by your favourite model in blazing sunshine during a heatwave. The photography, of course, was done by our favourite photographer Dave Edkins.

Let me just mention that Sean (the awesome guy behind the Nobody brand) only uses high quality clothes for all of his designs. I can vouch for how comfy his stuff is by the fact they're my favourite t-shirts to wear and I keep grabbing them again and again. But even better than that, the designs are well printed: I've worn and washed my Nobody Apparel t-shirts loads of times and they still look brand new.

Made in Brum

Sean is based in Birmingham and the latest t-shirt design states just that. Here's a shot of the front and back of Sean's latest t-shirt that I was shooting in last week... we shot it in Stoke not Birmingham, but I won't tell anyone if you won't.

Obviously I decided to wear it backwards at one point to show off the design.. And of course I'm sporting the amazing Nobody snapback too (you can get one for yourself in the Nobody Apparel shop)

Monochrome

Although this blog post is all about Nobody Apparel, we've gotta have that Misuzu flare in it. So here are the colour edit vs mono edit comparisons of a few of my favourite shots! I love the attitude of this first one:

This next one is cool because it shows off the shirt design really nicely.

And I love this last one because it kind of has that dreamy expression that you see a lot in more of my art nude work, but doesn't look out of place in a shot of me in a t-shirt, leggings and a snap back.

Back to the HOODIE

So, it's the middle of a heatwave and me and Dave are shooting the new t-shirt for Sean... but there is a problem. We really need to get some shots of the hoodie too for the website. Because I'm just really good at my job (or maybe because I'm completely mental) I agree to get some hoodie shots as long as we are super quick. Here are some of Dave's edits that I just adore because he managed to make them look gritty and cool despite the stupidly bright sun we were shooting in!

Getting these shots wasn't easy. It was so sweaty in there and it was so bright (which is why I look a bit pissed off in these shots) but I think we pulled it off. We literally jumped out of an air conditioned car, shot these and got right back into the air conditioned car... and then went straight to the pub for a pint to cool off. Because what else could we do?

I edited some wider shots to show that I was actually wearing shorts with the hoodie because if I wasn't, I'd have probably died. Where we shot this was right next to a road and I bet anyone driving past probably thought I was insane wearing a thick black hoodie in that weather.

And my other secret weapon to manage doing something stupid like shooting in a snuggly warm hoodie in the middle of a heatwave: Pixie. She had a hand held fan and periodically stuck it up my jumper or in my face to cool me off a little. She was a wonderful assistant!

Also, we had to take a break at one point to see caterpillars. Because obviously caterpillars are way more important than work every time!

She did occasionally photobomb. We need some tiny Nobody t-shirts so if she photobombs when she's with me at work, we can still use the photos (Sean, if you're reading this, you know what your next line of products needs to be!)

Go buy your Nobody Apparel hoodie for less than £14 with the code VeryHOT50

Here are a few more images of me wearing the awesome hoodie in the stupid heat to convince you to go and buy it!

Here is the link to the hoodie: https://nobodyapparel.shop/products/the-hoodie?variant=57067025301769 and once again, the code is VeryHOT50.

That's all from me for this week. Stay hydrated and let's hope for cooler weather soon!

Misuzu x
