Throwback: Polaroids #2

Hi there and Happy Monday <3

I'm bringing you a second Polaroid blog post this week. The first one, I posted back in November just after I had won the Polaroid competition on PurplePort. If you happened to miss that one, or you fancy giving it another read then you can click here to do that.

Like the previous Polaroid post, this one also features Polaroids from the amazing Andy Harding, and are also from a trip to Bulgaria. Andy Harding can be found on Purpleport and Instagram if you're interested in checking out more of his work (he does a lot of Polaroids so you'll definitely be a fan if you enjoy Polaroids like I do).

And here we go: a throwback to April 2019! It was an amazing trip, we had so much fun (also drank a lot of beer/ate a lot of yummy food) and got so many lovely images while we were there... but as I've explained before, I adore Polaroids, so I want to share the Polaroids we got on that trip with you.

Derelict Building

We went back to a derelict building we had been to on the first trip to explore it a bit more. The idea of topless with sunglasses hits the theme for Polaroids (also, it was mega sunny so the sunglasses were kinda necessary). In the second image, I had to change from heels to converse because I had to climb up into that window. I'm extremely clumsy so the heels would have likely resulted in serious injury. We got some really beautiful images while I was there after getting the Polaroids... and then I had to try to figure out how to get down safely.

Tractor

This tractor was just sat outside where we were staying, and it photographed beautifully... it would have been rude not to get a Polaroid while we were at it.

Petrol Station

When we were exploring one day, we stumbled across a cool looking abandoned petrol station. There were so many abandoned buildings everywhere in Bulgaria and some of them looked pretty unsafe (it didn't stop us from exploring them a little though). This Polaroid gives me 70s vibes and was taken in the evening as the sun was setting.

Black and White

Playboy bunny ears! There was an outfit that went with the ears but I didn't fit into it, so we decided to just shoot nudes with the ears. I actually prefer them like this, but that's probably not a surprise to anyone.

Latex

I wouldn't be a shoot with Andy without some latex thrown in. These were shot around the hotel room that we stayed in for the second half of our trip. The light in there wasn't great and it wasn't the most exciting space, but we still managed to get some good shots. I still have these ridiculous sunglasses!

Smoking

As a throwback to the images we had captured on our last trip, we grabbed another copy of Playboy (of course) and headed into the smoking area of the hotel at night to get these shots. Thankfully nobody walked in on us, because it would have been pretty awkward trying to explain what on earth we were doing.

And finally, the classic smoking Polaroid! (Remember kids, don't smoke unless it's for artistic purposes!)

And that's all from me for today! I have a special Valentine's Day post coming this week for the Misuzu Members, so keep an eye out for that if you're subscribed... and if you're not, you can click here to sign up :)
