Happy Monday everyone! This is the last time I will be talking to you in 2025. I hope you've enjoyed reading my posts since I launched my website in September this year and I have some exciting things planned for next year
I will be including more of my own photography work in my blogs, and will be writing some helpful informative posts for people new to the industry, as well as lots more of my work (obviously!). I'm also working on a written version of the workshop content that myself and Dave Edkins deliver in person on our introduction to working with models workshops. My main goal for 2026 is to help more people get into model photography by helping them to build the skills they need to work with models. And finally, in 2026 I will be launching a subscription part of my website with members only blog posts and some little Misuzu related gifts for those subscribers that continue to support me and my work. It's exciting.
But, before I throw myself into 2026, here are the last few Christmas images from the shoot I did with Dave Edkins. If you haven't already checked out more of his work, here are the links again: Instagram, Threads, PurplePort and E-photozine. Dave Shoots on a Nikon D850 and these images were taken at ARB Studio in Longton.
Elf
So when I posted on Christmas Eve, there were some silly images of me in the elf dress, but here are some more serious ones. I had to get some of these edited and in a blog post before the end of the festive season.
And here are a few seated in the fake snow. I hadn't really realised that the bottom of the backdrop had some lovely detail on it until I saw the images of me sitting in front of it!
Here are a couple of nice portraits. I particularly love the first one as there's almost a smile there...
Lights
it wouldn't have been a Christmas shoot without getting the fairy lights out. Here's a nice portrait with the fairy lights...

Finally, two more of me completely covered in lights. We used two sets of lights here to increase the amount of lights I had wrapped around me. It was difficult to model as they kept slipping and falling and refused to stay in place, but it was totally worth the drama as they came out so nicely. We chose to shoot these ones on the black side of a roll of mylar to get more of the reflections in shot, which really adds to these images for me.
Anyway, that's all from me, so goodbye to 2025... I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating the New Year, and I'll see you all in 2026!
