Happy Valentines Day to my lovely subscribers!
So, I'll be honest with you... I actually hated Valentine's Day for a long time. Overpriced chocolate and flowers, pressure to find the perfect gift (as if we don't have enough of that on Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries etc anyway!) or feeling like we have to plan the most perfect date or the entire world will implode. It just seems like a complete waste of time to me, and so tacky. Maybe I was just very cynical, but it always seemed so cringey. Or at least it did until I decided to just celebrate Valentine's Day in my own way. Now I celebrate everyone in my life that I love: friends, family, and most importantly ourselves. There are loads of people in my life that I have so much love for, and it's super important to love yourself too, so why not focus on that instead of making it about romance. Now I'm actually a fan of V-Day.
